Full time consulting position available for a procurement / purchasing specialist in Paris, France.  This is a contract position estimated to last approximately 6 – 9 calendar months.  The focus will be on validating current, high level analysis of a client’s purchasing spend across multiple categories, but will heavy emphasis on Travel and Entertainment (T&E), IT, Professional Services (Legal, Audit, etcetera), and general office supplies.  This position will require an individual with a documented success of working with clients that have not historically had tight process controls around non-salary purchasing. 

The expected output of this engagement will be to install documentation around purchasing authority and approval, a simple, repeatable purchasing and vendor management process, validating savings opportunities already identified, and providing subject matter expertise necessary to realize those savings to the client.  The expectation is that the savings will be realized, on an annualized run rate, by the end of the engagement and will be derived from a consolidation of vendors and improved employee behaviour around purchasing habits.

Requirements:

1.Must be fluent in speaking, writing and reading in French and English, with a preference of French as your primary language

2.Must be prepared to showcase prior work examples and outputs related to the project deliverables outlined above

3.A minimum of five years of:

a.working as a consultant advising organizations on procurement / purchasing best practices

b.direct experience negotiating contracts and consolidating vendors in T&E, IT, Professional Services and other general corporate spend categories

c.Installing standard purchasing / sourcing Key Performance Indicators

d.Training non-purchasing staff in purchasing best practices

e.Working with multi-lingual organizations

4.Must understand standard business financial statements, including Income Statement (P&L), Statement of Cash Flows and Balance Sheet

5.Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (candidates will be required to pass an interactive case study-type test to validate skill level)

6.Willingness to travel as necessary to other European nations.

7.Willingness to commute / hotel in or near the 8th arrondissement of Paris
