Job Title: Training Provider Manager (Apprenticeships)
Type; Permanent
Work Location:  Manchester  (Home based with National travel)
Salary; £25,000-£30,000 DOE,  plus  commission,  plus car allowance

A home based role for an experienced and motivated  Relationship Manager and/or Account Manager, who possesses a particular collection of skills.  The brand new role of Training Provider Manager has been created within this successful and growing social enterprise company, with the aims of identifying opportunities with training providers to boost candidate numbers, whilst also engaging with targeted training providers to build a network of trusted apprenticeship delivery partners across the UK.

Working from home, the ideal candidate will be based centrally for travel to busy regions, the Midlands or North West is ideal, and travel across the UK is expected for the majority of the week. An attractive salary, uncapped commission, plus a 5K car allowance accompanies the role. 

Reporting to the Project Manager, the role of the Training Provider Manager will be to…

  • Support the Business Development Manager and Talent Scout to achieve individual monthly, quarterly and annual vacancy generation and placement targets
  • Identify potential Training Providers, which includes FE colleges and private providers , and engage with them through sales calls, networking and arranging business meetings to promote services
  • Maintain, develop and manage existing provider partner relationships, through proactive account support and promotion of recruitment support
  • Keep up to date records of all relevant activity and agreements in the CRM database
  • Monitor the performance of partner training providers through host employer feedback
  • Assist in developing marketing campaigns when required
  • Attend a variety of networking and industry events and represent the Company
  • Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys
  • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to aid business and organisational development


The ideal Trainer Provider Manager will demonstrate..

  • Previous success in sales, relationship management and/or account management;  if you have  experience of consultative or solution based sales gained from; recruitment services, training, or experience of selling into FE colleges previously, then this is ideal
  • Clear and effective communication, with the ability to quickly build strong relationships and account manage these to retain them over time
  • Good understanding of the apprenticeship recruitment process with knowledge of candidate attraction techniques is helpful
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technical apprenticeships is preferred, ideally gained from the  engineering and manufacturing sector
  • Current knowledge of FE / skills education policies and apprenticeship reform is preferred
  • A full, current driving license
  • Relevant professional qualifications preferred
  • Self-motivation, tenacity and ability to manage own time effectively
  • Good Working knowledge of Microsoft packages
