This role is accountable for driving the growth of the business, through the effective recruitment of holiday property to the portfolio,  in line with quality standards and brand expectations. The Head of Business Development is responsible for diverse, multi-functional teams who perform operational and sales functions throughout the sales cycle.  This is a complex and challenging role but ultimately highly rewarding!

Reporting to the CCO, the Head of Business Development, will be accountable for..

  • The delivery of the net property recruitment to the portfolio, in line with business KPI’s
  • Agreeing and implementing the strategy for conversion and recruitment of holiday properties to the portfolio
  • The recruitment, retention and development of a high performing team to meet the current and future needs of the business
  • Managing the structure, performance and capability ofboth individuals and teams in UK and Ireland
  • Managing commercial terms and dynamic pricing
  • In collaboration with marketing, devise and deliver compelling sales strategies and communication
  • Identifying and implementing strategies and initiatives to drive volume and yield, including optimising revenue management
  • Identifying and delivering continuous operational improvements to contribute to revenue generation, best practice and the customer experience
  • Collaborating with other departments, gaining appropriate metrics to inform and direct decision making
  • Identifying sharing and spreading best practice across the work streams and department
  • Motivating and engaging with remote teams, including field sales
  • Sound judgement and decision making, guided by the strategic pillars
  • Collaborating with other departments and internal stakeholders regarding the tactical implementation of commercial decisions and strategies
  • Influencing key internal and external stakeholders, to include Directors, Head of Department and suppliers
  • Competitor awareness
  • Representing the department and company at internal and external meetings

  • A strong and detailed understanding of the sales cycle and the influence of customer care, perhaps gained from travel, call centre, retailor finance sectors
  • Management and leadership of multi-functional teams, experience of managing remote teams successfully is highly desirable

  • The ability to identify challenges and opportunities and react to capitalise on these

  • Knowledge of business process and LEAN methods is useful
