The role of the Event Sales Manager is a busy one and very hands on!  Reporting to the Director, you will have primary responsibility for promoting and representing the business to high value UK and international clients as well as external organisations, with a view to delivering on key targets and KPIs.  Responsible for one direct report, your role is integral in raising the profile of the business so that it becomes a venue of choice for wedding clients in particular.  A happy, friendly environment is on offer with great people to work alongside.

The key responsibilities of the Event Sales Manager will be…

  • To deliver on agreed sales targets whilst ensuring exceptional standards of customer service are provided at every stage of the process
  • To organise and manage all wedding and ad hoc open days throughout the year
  • To research and identify multiple marketing opportunities and deliver a sound marketing strategy as a result
  • To oversee, and planning of, direct communications, to existing and potential clients
  • To work with the team to ensure all relevant administration and record keeping is accurate and timely
  • To generate accurate sales and marketing data in support of their strategy and activity
  • To ensure the database is kept updated, segmented effectively for targeted marketing activities, and manage data accordingly
  • To manage budgets efficiently and effectively as required and contribute proactively to the annual budgeting process
  • To work with external service providers as the business demands
  • To produce detailed data analytics to ensure budget provides the right ROI for the business


The successful Event Sales Manager candidate will be…

  • An experienced Events Sales professional who can demonstrate proven results achieved in current or previous roles within the events and weddings industry
  • Used to working in an independent, boutique hotel or wedding venue
  • Someone who has a tangible passion for what they do - a true creative with an enquiring and inquisitive mind
  • Highly skilled in digital marketing - managing data, analytics and demonstrating ROI
  • Financially astute;  sales forecasting, budgets and reporting within an events/wedding operation
  • Someone who takes a forward thinking, visionary and innovative approach to their job and the organisation that they work for
  • Someone who has a very strong work ethic and committed attitude
  • A people manager who is comfortable leading and developing the direct report
  • An exceptional communicator who is used to working with both internal and external stakeholders and who has an excellent standard of written and spoken English
  • Experienced in working at a strategic level and in leading teams through periods of change
  • Very reliable – an efficient time manager with a strong ability to prioritise
  • Someone who is happy to work weekends as the job demands
