A really excellent opportunity for a professional Head of Digital Marketing of outstanding skill to play an integral part in helping to drive forward this fast growing, award winning UK leisure business.  The company is set to make a major step change to take it to the no 1 position in its sector in the UK and as such, is increasing its management capability significantly.  

As the Head of Digital Marketing your main focus is the growth of customer bookings through performance media channels.  With full ownership of the performance media budget and ROI, you will work closely with the Data Science and Marketing teams to maximise leverage on technology platforms, web analytics and competitor monitoring in order to drive campaign efficiency and performance. This role reports directly into the CMO and has responsibility for the day to day management of the team of PPC specialists and analysts, including mentoring and training.

The key responsibilities of the Head of Digital Marketing will be…

  • To ‘own’ paid media performance and ensure efficient delivery against agreed KPIs and targets
  • To lead on the implementation of the paid media strategy including paid search, paid social, native and display
  • To combine intuition and experience with analysis to ensure performance is assured and pre-empt issues effectively
  • As a stakeholder in those internal projects and developments within the business that could affect paid media performance
  • To work with colleagues across the marketing function and wider business to exploit synergies and ensure a collaborative approach is maintained at every opportunity
  • To deliver transparent, accurate and actionable insights on a proactive basis
  • Working in both a B2C and B2B context

The successful Head of Digital Marketing will…

  • Have proven experience of working with a performance media platform such as Marin, Double Click or Kenshoo
  • Be skilled in dealing with all major SEM platforms such as Google Analytics and Adwords, Bing Ads, Yahoo Search Marketing, Display, YouTube, DSPs, Remarketing and Facebook marketing activities
  • Have the capability to create and implement a cohesive paid search, paid social, native and display strategy
  • Be experienced in developing, growing and optimising large scale paid search portfolios
  • Have a flawless ability to source, analyse and interpret findings from data with outstanding Excel skills
  • Be experienced in working with PPC accounts and managing paid search spends in excess of £5m
  • Have demonstrable skills in leading, inspiring, training and developing new team members
  • Be comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced, delivery oriented environment
  • Ideally have worked within the travel industry but not essential as is the awareness and experience of SQL and competency in using tag management systems
  • Be the kind of person who likes to drive innovation and change within a strong team culture and who communicates honestly and openly with their colleagues
