A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Officer or qualified Recruiter to join a small but growing Human Resource team in a brand new role.
You will relish the challenge and variety of contributing to the growth of the business, working with the HR team and Line Managers to provide a comprehensive generalist service plus the full remit of recruitment support, ensuring that the delivery of best practice is adopted throughout the group

 

Working attractive office hours of 9am-5pm, there is an extensive benefit package available (including Yoga classes!) and a car allowance for the weekly travel  required to support interviews happening at other sites within the UK.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the role of the Human Resources & Recruitment Advisor is to…

  • Understand the hiring needs of the organisation and contribute to strategy and Talent Management planning
  • To ensure that the appraisal process is carried out by line managers and that PDP’s, Department and individual objectives are completed annually to the standard set out by the Company

  • To assist with new staff on-boarding and the induction process

  • To undertake recruitment and selection tasks in conjunction with the relevant line manager

  • To manage performance and grievance issues which may arise

  • To provide advice and guidance to managers on the interpretation and implementation of contracts of employment, terms and conditions, legal responsibilities and policies and procedures

  • To work closely with managers, coaching and upskilling managers on all HR related matters.

  • To assist with the development, monitoring, updating and implementation of HR policies, procedures and systems, guidance notes and template letters

 

The ideal Human Resources & Recruitment Advisor will demonstrate...

  • Holding CIPD level 5, ideally working towards level 7

  • Breadth and depth of knowledge across the recruitment cycle, including relevant employment law`

  • Performance Management skills, including effective absence and disciplinary and grievance management

  • A proven ability to be effective within a corporate environment, having the skills to support, challenge, question and coach when required

  • Working effectively in a fast-paced HR environment

  • Self-motivation and influencing skills

  • Experience of Relationship Management

  • Superb negotiation skills when dealing with third parties

  • Good Problem-Solving skills
