A marvellous opportunity for an experienced Business Development professional of outstanding skill with proven experience of creating and managing corporate partnership relationships, to play an integral part in helping to drive forward this internationally renowned leisure company which has a number of diverse brands in its portfolio.

As the Partnership Business Development Manager you report to the Head of Commercial and Sales. You will have primary responsibility for developing and growing the sales, sponsorship and commercial opportunities for the company with a view to delivering on key targets and KPIs.  This role is also integral to the promotion and marketing of potential Hospitality sales for the company.

The key responsibilities of the Partnership & Business Development Manager will be to…

  • Manage and extend a portfolio of client sponsorship and partnership relationships, designed to generate new income growth through hospitality and sponsorship revenue
  • Effectively identify client needs and re-energise existing relationships to ensure annual revenue is maximised
  • Assist in the creation and preparation of sponsorship proposals, ensuring that a tailored service is offered as necessary
  • Effectively account manage existing and new prospective sponsorship and commercial clients in order to understand their needs and requirements and therefore ensure the delivery of agreed benefits and commitments
  • To assist in achieving the annual sponsorship, commercial and hospitality budget year on year
  • To market and promote the main venue as a unique and viable proposition for Commercial Sponsorship including developing and implementing a Commercial Sponsorship strategy, and identifying suitable sponsors for the company and its associated brands
  • To act as a brand ambassador in order to maximise sponsorship attractiveness and enhance brand awareness
  • To attend necessary networking events and client events in order to seek and develop further sponsorship opportunities

 

The successful Partnership & Business Development Manager candidate…

  • Will have a successful track record in establishing and growing client sponsor and partner relationships
  • Is experienced in working with large venue and multi-site operations
  • Is highly skilled in dealing with customers/clients at a senior level
  • Has a strong commercial background with good financial acumen – consistently delivering on target results
  • Can show a clear ability to deal with people at all levels, building trust and respect amongst employees
  • Has experience of developing and delivering innovative strategic sales plans.
  • Will be a proven leader, with exceptional communication skills and the ability to motivate others
  • Has the ability to promote and implement change and is a strategic thinker with integrity and resilience
  • Can show a track record in establishing, managing and developing collaborative and commercial relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Has experience of high-level external facing leadership, which has enhanced the profile and brand of an organisation
  • Is pragmatic with an energetic, persuasive and engaging personality
  • Has creative flair with a strong commitment to quality, customer service and with an excellent attention to detail
  • Has a collaborative style of working and enjoys working as part of a team whilst leading from the front
